NewPod Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026 · Effective: July 12, 2026

Summary: NewPod is a music player. It has no NewPod account system, advertising, or first-party analytics SDK. The current version supports only Apple Music and files you deliberately select for import. Favorites, playback preferences, and imported local-audio information primarily stay on your device.

1. Scope and Controller

This Policy applies to official iOS, Android, and other releases of NewPod provided by Suben, Inc. (广州溯本信息技术有限公司) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are the controller/personal information processor for the processing described here.

Contact: kevin@subeninc.com. A third-party service is independently responsible where it determines its own purposes and means of processing.

We process this information to perform features you request, perform our agreement with you, or with your consent. NewPod currently does not collect account credentials, contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, or payment information, and does not include Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar analytics/crash-reporting SDKs.

4. Third-Party Services and Disclosures

Recipient/servicePurposeInformationTerms
Apple Inc. and applicable Apple service operatorsSystem media library, Apple Music content, and playbackMedia-library and Apple-service usage data as disclosed by AppleApple Privacy Policy; Apple Music & Privacy

These services may process information independently under their own terms. Do not enter identification numbers, contact details, passwords, or unrelated sensitive data in search fields. We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only in the user-initiated cases above, with separate consent, or where permitted or required by law.

5. International Processing

NewPod does not operate an overseas server that receives your personal information. Apple may process data internationally depending on service region, operations, and applicable law, and is responsible for its own notice and safeguards. If we later actively transfer your personal information to an overseas recipient, we will provide the legally required details, obtain separate consent where required, and complete applicable transfer procedures.

6. Security and Retention

We use reasonable safeguards such as platform sandboxing, least-privilege access, and transport encryption. Apple Music uses Apple-provided interfaces, and imported files are primarily processed on-device. No safeguard can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your device and original audio files.

On-device information is retained for the periods in Section 2. Clearing app data or uninstalling normally removes local app data, but operating-system backups, media-service data, and third-party records are controlled by the relevant provider.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, and delete local information and revoke permissions through NewPod and system settings. NewPod has no account to close; remove favorites, clear app data, or uninstall instead. You may also ask us to access, copy, correct, supplement, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to explain this Policy, subject to applicable law.

Email kevin@subeninc.com. We may verify only what is reasonably necessary to protect your request and will respond within the period required by law. Contact Apple directly for information it processes independently.

8. Children

NewPod is not directed primarily to children under 14. Minors should use it with a guardian's guidance. A child under 14 should obtain guardian consent before using online features involving personal information. If we learn that we processed a child's information without the required consent, we will promptly delete it or take other steps required by law.

9. Policy Changes

We will update this Policy when processing purposes, methods, data categories, or product features change, and provide an in-app or similarly prominent notice. Where law requires consent for a material change, we will ask again rather than treating continued use alone as consent.
